Hurd Makes National TV Debut Vs. Galarza November 13 In Biloxi, MS!
Undefeated Accokeek, MD super welterweight "Swift" Jarrett Hurd takes the biggest step in his career when he makes his national television debut on Friday, November 13 at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, MS. Hurd will battle "Notorious" Frank Galarza of Brooklyn, NY in a 10-round co-feature bout that will air on Spike TV.
Not only will this be the first nationally-televised contest for Hurd (16-0, 10 KO's), this will also be Hurd's first scheduled 10-round contest. Hurd is coming off a seventh-round TKO of previously undefeated Jeff Lentz on August 14 in Newark, NJ.
This bout will also be the first 10-rounder for Galarza (17-0-2, 11 KO's) who last fought on April 10 and scored a third-round knockout of Sheldon Moore in Brooklyn, NY. Galarza comes in with impressive credentials -- he battled Beltway Boxer Alantez Fox to an eight-round draw in September of 2012 in Queens, NY and is the only man to date to defeat John "Apollo Kidd" Thompson, who is competing for a world title tonight in Manchester, England. Galarza knocked out Thompson in the second round in January of 2014.
