Baltimore's Franchon Crews was dominant in her semifinal bout at 165 pounds in front of her home crowd at the Baltimore Harbour Hotel. Crews scored a fourth-round TKO over Martha Fabela of Oakland, CA to advance to the Olympic Trials.
Crews battered the game Fabela all around the ring, bloodying Fabela's nose and earning four standing eight counts (two each in the third and fourth round) before the bout was stopped.
