Add two more Beltway Boxers to the list of competitors competing and traveling in September.
Capitol Heights, MD bantamweight Antonio Russell will compete in his first scheduled six-round contest on Saturday, September 12 at the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, CT. No word yet on his opponent. Russell (3-0, two KO's) is coming off a four-round unanimous decision win over Jaxel Marrero on July 11 in Tampa, FL.
DC heavyweight Danny "Smooth" Kelly will be in a six-round contest against Jimmy Suarez of Aguada, Puerto Rico on Saturday, September 18 at the Claridge Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
Kelly (8-1-1, seven KO's) has scored two first-round TKO's since suffering his first pro loss last August. Kelly stopped Curtis Lee Tate in the first round in his last outing on May 23 in Boston, MA. Suarez (3-6, three KO's) lost by six-round split decision to Carlos Cotto on April 4 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
Meanwhile, undefeated Baltimore, MD featherweight Gervonta "Tank" Davis now has an opponent for his September 12th bout at the MGM Grand Garden Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Davis (11-0, 10 KO's) will battle Enrique Tinoco of Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico in an eight-round contest. Tinoco (14-2-2, 10 KO's) is coming off a fifth-round TKO victory over Joksan Hernandez on March 28 in Ensenada, Mexico.
Also, Scott "Cujo" Sigmon's bout on the same card against Ronald Gavril has been upgraded to a 10-round contest.
