Russell Wins Unanimous Decision In Tampa!

Capitol Heights, MD bantamweight Antonio Russell has won a four-round unanimous decision over a very game Jaxel Marrero tonight at the Sun Dome in Tampa, FL.  Here is the report from Christopher Cook of Fightnews.com:

Russell, looked crisp in the fight, utilizing a speed advantage to best Marrero. A game Marrero, who fought better than his record, withstood Russell’s best, and kept returning shots. The final round witnessed the best action, as both boxers traded nonstop for the final minute. All three judges saw the bout 40-36 for Russell.

Russell is now 3-0, two KO's.  Marrero, who lost a tough four-round unanimous decision to Marq Johns at the Washington Convention Center in January, is now 1-6-1.
