Two Beltway Boxers will appear on a televised quadrupleheader on Friday, July 17 from the Sands Casino Resort in Bethelehem, PA. The bouts will appear on the ShoBox program on Showtime.
Undefeated Burke, VA middleweight Antoine "Action" Douglas will take on fellow undefeated boxer Istvan "Spartan" Szili of Basal, Switzerland in the 10-round main event. Douglas (17-0-1, 11 KO's) makes his second consecutive (fourth overall) appearance on ShoBox as he comes off a sixth-round knockout of previously undefeated Thomas LaManna on March 13 in Westbury, NY.
Szili (18-0-2, eight KO's) competes in the United States for the very first time, having spent most of his career in Switzerland and his native Hungary. Szili has not fought since scoring a sixth-round knockout of Mathias Zemski on August 30 in Zurich, Switzerland.
In one of the other televised contests, "The King's Son" Jerry Odom of Bowie, MD will be in an eight-round contest against Samuel Clarkson of Cedar Hill, TX. Odom (13-1, 12 KO's) avenged his only pro loss when he scored a first-round TKO over Andrew Hernandez in a rematch in front of a nationally-televised (Shobox) audience on the March 13 Westbury show.
Clarkson (14-3, eight KO's) has won four straight contests since suffering his last loss in April of 2014. Clarkson is coming off a sixth-round stoppage of Jay Williams on April 3 in Irving, TX.
