Beltway Amateurs At Olympic Qualifiers in Colorado!
Action gets underway in earnest on Tuesday for a number of Beltway Boxers competing at the first USA Boxing "Pathway To The Podium" Olympic Trials Qualifier in Colorado Springs, CO.
During the afternoon session, Kevin Ottley of Baltimore, MD will take on Abram Martinez of San Diego, CA at 152 pounds. Also at 152 pounds, Nigel Fennell of Salisbury, MD battles Cruse Stewart of Cedar Rapids, IA.
At 132 pounds, Jalonte Cole of Burke, VA takes on Roberto Mesa of Escondido, CA.
During the evening session, Gary Antuanne Russell of Capitol Heights, MD will compete at 141 pounds against Tra-Kwon Pettis of Atlanta, GA.
Other locals slated to compete in this qualifier are:
Jordan Payne, Hyattsville, MD (165 Pounds)
Bradley Koonce, Fairfax, VA (178 Pounds)
Amelia Moore, Millersville, MD (132 Pounds-female)
Franchon Crews, Baltimore, MD (165 Pounds-female)
This qualifier continues until Saturday, June 27.
Oxon Hill, MD's Tyrek Irby (141 Pounds) has already qualified for the Olympic Trials due to his victory at the World Championship Team Trial.

Tiara Brown is also out there, and she is a member of PVA, although she lives in Florida
I did not see her listed. They have a list of registered athletes and Tiara is not on that list.
