He was scheduled to be on the card anyway, but undefeated Accokeek, MD junior middleweight "Swift" Jarrett Hurd will now participate in the eight-round main event on Friday, December 5 at Harrah's Casino in Chester, PA.
Hurd will face his most experienced foe to date in Eric "Murder" Mitchell, a native of Philadelphia who now fights out of Vero Beach, FL. Hurd (13-0, eight KO's) is replacing Harry Joe Yorgey who pulled out of the bout. Hurd is coming off back-to-back first-round stoppages in his last two bouts.
The 45-year-old Mitchell (23-11-2, 11 KO's) would have been in a rematch against Yorgey. The first bout went to a six-round draw on July 25 in Wyomissing, PA. The draw broke a four-bout losing streak for Mitchell that included a six-round unanimous decision loss to Cecil McCalla on January 31 in West Orange, NJ.
