Jeter Wins Majority Decision Over Lange!

In what was one of the best Beltway bouts of 2014, Tony Jeter has defeated Jimmy Lange by a 10-round majority decision to win the vacant NABA USA Middleweight title.

This was a brutal fight, in many ways like the first bout.  However, there were some subtle differences.  Jeter used a great series of uppercuts and body shots to establish his gameplan.  However, Lange moved better laterally in the rematch.

Jeter was very effective with his inside attack and kept Lange off balance.  In the middle rounds, Lange came back strong and established his jab well.  However, Jeter closed the show with nice combinations to win the bout.

Judge Joe Cooper saw the draw at 95-95.  That was overruled by Brian Costello saw the bout at 97-93 and Mark D'Atillio who saw the bout 99-91 for Jeter, who is now 18-4-1, 12 KO's.  Lange falls to 38-6-2, 25 KO's.  Good night from the Patriot Center!

Digital, how did you score this? 97-93 seems about right, I could see 99-91, but 95-95 seems AWFULLY generous to Lange.

I had it 97-93. I actually thought 99-91 was generous to Jeter but he deserved the win
