Farmer Stopped In Fourth In Plymouth, MA!

Front Royal, VA welterweight Andrew "The Doo Man" Farmer had a tough night tonight at Memorial Hall in Plymouth, MA.  Hometown hero Danny O'Connor stopped Farmer at 2:33 of the fourth round in front of a wildly partisan crowd and a nationally televised (Fox Sports 1) audience.

O'Connor was very aggressive throughout the contest landing hard shots to Farmer's head and body.  A series of shots forced Farmer to take a knee in the second round.  In the fourth round, the two clashed heads and O'Connor suffered a cut along the right eye.  However, O'Connor maintained his aggression and landed a brutal body shot that dropped Farmer again to one knee.  Farmer did not beat the referee's count and the bout was stopped.

Farmer's record drops to 18-3, seven KO's while O'Connor rises to 24-2, eight KO's.

I'm still supporting the effort that Andrew Farmer showed in this fight. It was just a Danny O'Connor night for boxing. It happens. You win some and you lose some. Keep training hard Andrew and get ready for the next one.

Agreed Juan. Andrew Farmer seemed to come out a little stale, and was gaining momentum as the fight progressed. He was beginning to land more often and more solidly in the last two rounds, he was just caught with a great shot. O'Connors cut was not from a headbutt but was a result of a sharp shot from Andrew, as the ref himself indicated.
