Two Beltway Boxers will make important television appearances during the month of October.
On Saturday, October 4, undefeated Largo, MD middleweight Dominic "Lights Out" Wade will take on KeAndre Leatherwood of Birmingham, AL in a 10-round contest that will take place on Showtime from the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, CT.
Wade (16-0, 11 KO's) is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision win over Nick Brinson on June 27 in Las Vegas, NV. Leatherwood (14-2-1, 10 KO's) scored a first-round knockout over Mickey Scarborough on April 5 in Tuscaloosa, AL.
At the end of the month, Front Royal, VA junior welterweight Andrew "The Doo Man" Farmer will travel to Memorial Hall in Plymouth, MA on Thursday, October 30 to face Danny O'Connor of Framingham, MA in a 10-round contest that will be shown on Fox Sports 1.
Farmer (18-2, seven KO's) has fought sporadically, taking one bout a year since 2012. Farmer scored a six-round unanimous decision victory over David Warren Huffman on May 17 in Annandale, VA. This will be Farmer's first scheduled 10-rounder.
O'Connor (23-2, seven KO's) has not fought since losing a 10-round split decision to Vivian Harris on October 12 in Philadelphia, PA.
This bout was originally scheduled for February of this year but O'Connor suffered an injury in training.
