Tori Nelson successfully defended her WIBA Welterweight title for the third time with a 10-round unanimous decision over a very tough Nicole Woods.
Woods was definitely not Mia St. John as she combined some good shots with some roughhouse tactics to make the bout a difficult one. However, Nelson kept coming forward and landed a solid left hand and a very nice right uppercut at times. Woods had to rely on her experience to grab and hold on throughout the contest.
Scorecards were 95-94 and 98-92 (twice) for Nelson who is now 10-0-3, one KO. Woods is now 11-14-3, three KO's.
For now, good night from Baltimore!
