Locals Have Rough Start at Junior Olympic Nationals!

A tough beginning for Beltway Amateurs at the 43rd Junior Olympic Nationals at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WVA. 

Shadid Bond of Edgewood, MD lost his first-round contest at 119 pounds to the 2014 Junior Open champion Victor Morales of Vancouver, WA by a 3-0 decision.  Also, Calvin Hart of Williamsburg, VA fell in the 114-pound bracket, dropping a 3-0 decision to Aaron Morales of Eufala, OK.

In today's afternoon session, Kashif Muhammad-Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD competes in the 176-pound division against Jeremiah Nguyen of Belleville, IL.   In the evening session, Joe Veazey of Pasadena, MD takes on Miguel Contreras of Bakersfield, CA at 145 pounds.

Jeramiah Nguyen got robbed, he clearly out punched the other kid.
