Beltway Boxers Shah, Womack Head to New Jersey July 12!

Two locals will compete on a card at the Riverwoods Community Center in West Deptford, NJ on Saturday, July 12.

Centreville, VA middleweight Zain "Tiger" Shah will be in the co-feature bout taking on undefeated Thomas "Cornflake" LaManna of Millville, NJ in a six-round contest.  Shah (5-3, three KO's) will be trying to break a three-bout losing streak against the likes of Brandon Quarles, Alantez Fox and Harry Joe Yorgey.   LaManna (14-0, seven KO's) is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision over Ahsandi Gibbs on April 12 in Atlantic City, NJ.

Also on the card will be Baltimore, MD junior welterweight Kevin "The Scarecrow" Womack, Jr. who will battle Anthony Prescott of Cherry Hill, NJ in a four-round bout.  Womack (4-5-1, two KO's) is winless in his last six (0-5-1) and has lost his last two by stoppage.  Prescott (3-3-1, one KO) is 2-2 in his last four bouts.

The card is being promoted by Silver Spoon Promotions led by returning heavyweight Chazz Witherspoon who will compete in the main event.  Witherspoon has not fought since being stopped by Seth Mitchell in the third round in April of 2012 in Atlantic City.  Witherspoon's third cousin, Tim Witherspoon, Jr. will also be on the card, competing for the first time since losing to Dusty Hernandez Harrison by eight-round unanimous decision on January 31 in West Orange, NJ.

Jared Robinson is too big for Dusty. He's a natural 154 pounder. They should not accept that fight.

Robinson has fought mostly at 140. If anything dusty too big for him. He's only fought at welterweight one time, a few other times a few pounds north of 140
