Local Amateurs Go Five-For-Five On Second Day of National Golden Gloves!

Five Beltway amateurs won their bouts Tuesday night on the second day of competition at the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas, NV.

Malik Jackson won a 4-1 decision over Angel Gonzalez of the New England region in his first bout at 114 pounds.

At 132 pounds, Jalen Jones also won a 4-1 decision in his contest against Saquan Felton of the Buffalo region.

Malik Hawkins advanced in the 152 Pound division with a 5-0 decision over James Parella of the New England region.

Justin Bell is in the next round of the 178 Pound class via his 4-1 decision win over Tyshan Murray of New Jersey.

Also, 201+ Pounder Anthony Nembhard of DC wins by a 5-0 decision over Jermaine Reed of the Mid-South.

Good work!!! Digital - do you understand the scoring? I thought it was 3 rounds under the 10 point must system?

I believe it is. However, I also think there are five judges. The score is based on the number of judges.
