WBA #15 Ranked Jerry Odom Added to April 26 Card in Springfield!

Undefeated Bowie, MD super middleweight "The King's Son" Jerry Odom has been added to the Jeter Promotions/RBA Promotions card on Saturday, April 26 at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA.

In less than two years, Odom (10-0, 10 KO's) has reached the #15 ranking by the WBA.  Odom is coming off a first-round TKO of Douglas Otieno Okola on April 4 in Parsippany, NJ.  Eight of Odom's 10 KO's have been in the first round.

Odom will face Edgar Perez of Chicago, IL in a six-round encounter.  Perez (5-8, three KO's) has faced some tough competition in his last eight bouts including Jermall Charlo, Boyd Melson and Odom's fellow GH3 Promotions boxer Antoine Douglas.  The last eight boxers Perez has faced have a combined won-loss record of 68-3-1.

We are still waiting on word about bouts for this card featuring the likes of Tony Jeter and Todd Wilson.

Saw Edgar Perez fight Anthony Ogogo in AC. Perez is a guy that comes out to get a paycheck and not get hurt. Plays nothing but defense and doesn't leave many openings. Talked to Ogogo after the fight and he was angry that Perez wouldn't fight him. I guess its a good way to build a record but at this point Odom shouldn't be fighting a Perez.

Odom is talented but how in the world he gets ranked#15 by the WBA, when he has fought very limited opposition, including this one against Perez. Constantly fighting bums like these will not prepare him for a title shot. I can see the first ten fights soft but after that, I'd time to step up just a little. A national champion with ten wins, all by ko's, great! Step up a little, please!

We all know Jerry has the goods since he was amateur & that haven't changed.. Once you become a professional boxer your only as good as your promoter & by the look of things being ranked 15 in the world wit only 10 bouts, looks like he's being promoter excellent... Jerry gonna be the next 168Ibs champ DC's own

why aren't Jeters and wilsons opponet's names up aren't they supposed to be the headliners here.I hope that if they show up with a bum to fight that you call it like you see it

Jeter will not fight anyone but bums until he gets a payday. Therefore, don't be surprise that both of them bums will fight bums. It's a card made of decent fighters fighting extremely soft opposition. I will not waste my money.
