They seem to be going backwards a little bit in terms of quality of opponents since the Torres fight. He was Dusty's toughest opponent the went backwards with Lewis, Witherspoon was better then Lewis but not Torres and Balasi isn't as good as Witherspoon. I thought they would continue to step up opposition like they did leading up to Torres. Good luck to dusty and I hope he puts on another great performance for the nation and continue to rep the DMV well. Then a step up hopefully on an HBO or Showtime undercard or headline a ShoBox or ESPN Friday Night Fights card

Dusty is a very good fighter and he is allowed to fight these type of fighters because Dusty has money backing him. They can pick and choose fighters to get him to the top. It is a good strategy while making money. The downside to this will be when he fights someone who is as good as him or better. DMV has many quality fighters but just haven't got the opportunity that Dusty has now. You be the judge of why? I'm always pulling for Dusty although I know many are hating on him but life is not fair. Dusty will be about 30-0, before he fights anyone with a good chance to challenge him, and I didn't say beat him, because that's another story. Good luck Dusty!

I hate dusty. I will not watch espn and I will not go to his dc fights. he is to young to be a pro. ray leonard was much better than him. so was marvin haggler.

Two of the biggest boxing prospects in Hawaii, Isaac Arasato and Mike Balasi, easily picked up first-round TKO wins. Arasato improved to 6-0 with 5 KOs while Balasi, who scored the knockout of the night on the Viloria card last August, improved to 9-1 with 7 KOs.

It looks like this is the first southpaw he's faced in quite a while. Has a good KO percentage in his wins, too.

Good fight for Dusty in my opinion.

Too much money and too much fame is going to ruin this kid. He will paying out the ass for child support in no time. Pops fault, he turned him professional too damn early. At the rate he's going he'll have 100 fights before he reaches 24, 25. Let the kid enjoy life, all he knows is boxing. So what he's making money, he ain't got no time to enjoy it. He needs to take a whole year off and hang out with kids his own age. They think he is a machine. He will be burnt out before he's 21.

Good fight for Dusty yes, but Balasi is only a threat to himself. Dusty is going to punish that guy just as bad or worse than Witherspoon

Yaw crazy. Keeping busy. First southpaw? Good choice in opponent. Making money getting experience. He's young. Good management. Not getting hurt. I'm jealous

Would you rather fight on TV and have the whole country see you or fight at the convention center and only have a few thousand see you?

Maybe not a step up in competition but it is another form of experience he is getting in that it is his first southpaw. You don't go from fighting D and C class orthodox fighters to fighting a C or B class southpaw! Smart move Buddy and Jeff! I'm proud of you guys and even though I'm miles away....I'm followin you guys!
P.S. Buddy, you know who this is...

How about instead of hating give the kid credit! Yes its obvious there's money behind him and he's getting opportunities because of money/connections but so many of these DMV fighters would die to be where Dusty is.

Regardless if he's 20-0 and had a lot of amateur fights, he's still a kid! Not everybody at that age is going to be Tyson, Leonard or Benitez.

Give him time and enjoy the publicity he's getting for the area.

Hate= jealousy

Too much of anything is not good, and they are pushing this kid too much. Over 200 amateur fights and 20 plus professional fights and he is only 19. Who would do such a thing to a child? Over a million strikes to the head will have an effect. How many stitches has this young man had? What will his face look like when he is 21. No amount of money is worth such. Boxing fanatics have been referred to as animals and although some are not, this is a clear case of an untamed beast. I would suggest that people should not watch his fights on ESPN or attend his fights, for if you do, you are encouraging such behavior.

The African skull is quite different from the Asian and Caucasian skulls, indicating a much greater genetic distance between Eurasians and Africans than between Europeans and Asians. Compared to Asian and Caucasian skulls, the African skull is narrower. The bones of the skull (and the rest of the body) are denser and thicker. The eye sockets are rounder and proportionately larger and the distance between them is greater. The slight bump at the top of the head suggests a “saggital keel,” a ridge along the top of the head from the forehead to the back of the skull for attaching chewing muscles and strengthening the skull from blows received in fighting.

Normal skull thickness has been measured in a general hospital population of 300 blacks and 200 whites in America. In both groups, there is a rapid increase in skull thickness during the first two decades of life, followed by a small uniform increase reaching a peak in the fifth and sixth decades. The sex differences are variable, but in certain age groups the females in both races have significatly thicker parietal and occipital bones than their male counterpart. The frontal bone is thicker in the white male than in the black, and the parietooccipital thicker in the blacks than in the whites.

Punch drunk syndrome, or dementia pugilistica, or boxer's syndrome is also called chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). This condition is common among boxers. It is caused by head trauma and the condition typically develops about 16 years after the initial head injury.

A patient with CTE develops tangles and threads in his or her brain that are similar to those found in the brains of Alzheimer's patients. In its later stages, patients with CTE develop symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

This is the craziest bullshit I read on boxing beltway. All of you are drunk or high. Who cares how your skull is shaped. Do not you have anything better to talk about. Any moment now, we will hear about the breast size of female boxers. I can see it now, the reasons why female boxers have no tits.

Enjoy watching the development if this fighter. He is being managed just right, different styles, different experiences. Staying active is very important to the development of a fighter. I wish Dusty the best; other boxers should carefully watch his development.
