Another Bout Added To February 21 Card in Westminster, MD!

Another bout has been added to the Maryland Boxing Club card on Friday, February 21 at the Carroll County AG Center's Shipley Arena in Westminster, MD. This one looks very interesting.

Brooklyn, NY middleweight "The Ukranian Lion" Ievgen Khytrov will take on Windsor Mill, MD's "Relentless" Julius Kennedy in a six-round contest.  Khytrov (2-0, two KO's) represented the Ukraine in the 2012 Summer Olympics and won the world championships in 2011.  Khytrov has not taken the conventional road as a young pro boxer -- his first bout was slated for eight rounds and the second contest was scheduled for six rounds.  Khytrov is trained by former world champion Buddy McGirt.

Kennedy (7-7-1, three KO's) is winless in his last eight contests including losses to Harry Joe Yorgey, Alantez Fox, Decarlo Perez and Denis Douglin.

Kennedy is not a bad fighter, just fought really tough competition. Both of his fights with Yorgey and his fights with Sigmon and Nicklow were all extremely competitive. Khytrov has more skill then them, but his lack of experience could make for a interesting fight. Kennedy won't lay down.
