Ron is a coach out there in Virginia I wonder if there fighters get special treatment at the nationals because of it

If Ron Simms is the best coach in the DMV you just insulted the shit out of coaches like Boogaloo Roach, Gary Russell Sr, Tony Simmons, Boogie Harris who took kids to the Nationals last year and brought home the gold, Ron Simms just took a bunch of kids over there and brought home ass whoopins

I normally don't comment on here but I can agree with the other comments Ron does seem to show favoritism . Also I believe he is not a good coach

The first sign of a good coach is being able to evaluate the talents of your fighters and and know who is ready to step up to the National level, and the fact that non of Ron Simms boxers even won a round let's me know his coaching skills are on the same level of his Preesidential skills...He some shit

What seems to make this guy Simms so popular? All I've noticed of him is that he's fascinated w/ himself. And loves to hear himself talk. Coaches clinics he conducts become complete boredom 3 min into start. And if it's not his opinion or way of thinking, then it's always wrong way of doing things. That's the impression he puts out.

Name 3 good things Ron has done for the pva?

Ron is an EXCELLENT coach and his clinic was extremely insightful. I for one appreciate his efforts. We ALL lose at some point in time. Then we dust off, learn from the loss and move forward... If you're smart, you should try to benefit from whatever mistakes were made so you can take your own team next year.

And how about congrats Tiara!! Represent us well!!!

Ron is a great coach and dedicated his life to making boxing better. While you clowns get on here and talk trash behind a computer screen, he is out WORKING.

While you speculate on someone elses loss Ron is out trying figure out how to make our boxers BETTER.

Say what you want. The crabs in a barrel aka PVA want Ron out. Go ahead and put one of your selfish big ego people ask PVA President. See how much better that gets you. You just gonna cry about that person too. That's why boxing dont get better. PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

Digital it is sad that it takes this kind of defamation of character to draw attraction to anything in the DMV boxing world. Is that what you like? To let the crabs pull each other down for entertainment?

Tiara is from Ft. Myers, FL. No one talk about how Ron worked her corner too. Pay attention ppl.

No, that is not what I like. I think it's ridiculous to bring someone down who is trying to make things better for the amateur boxing community in this area.

However, haters will hate and they're entitled to their opinion..even when they're wrong.

By the way, Tiara is originally from Florida, but makes her boxing home in the Beltway Region.

Rn offer coach clinic to anyone who asks. He showed appreciation to the legends of PVA by honoring them w a ceremony. No one else thought to do that, He does travels to gyms in md, Keystone, sugar rays, old school to name a few.just cuz u arent there dnt mean it not getting done. So yes Ron does do a lot for PVA. If u see his dedication or know him u would not say those things. but it easy to listen to the naysayers who don't want anyone else to do good.

Y'all funny as Hell on here, yes Ron gives coaches clinics that are 3 hours too long, but what you don't know is that he blocked the coach that was requested to do the last clinic and is just as qualified as him and took over the class and ran it himself. Yea Ron had a ceramony for the Legends of PVA but what you don't know is that was not his idea. And yes he has traveled to those gyms you have named but what you didn't mention is that he brought his kids from Va. for sparring. He got you fooled too. I'm still trynna figure what makes him more then an average coach. Start with naming the boxer he has coached and made into a national champion then ge can be mention with the great coaches in this area.
Ps the next dollar Ron raises for PVA will be the first, then he can be mentioned among the best presidents PVA has ever had

Is Ron behind the scene of Antoine Douglas success over there in VA?

Hello Anonymous,

Ron Simms here, I really don't mind your opinion of me. I hope that it makes you feel better. I take no credit for any boxers win because it is they who steps in the ring and decides to do what they do. All glory goes to God and we are blessed to receive the experience. I have no favoritism because I love the sport of boxing and whomever displays the supreme talent is who should win. We all should strive to become better in whatever it is that we do. There are some that are continually striving to hate more may God bless you too. On my way to the bouts. PEACE!!
