Anatomy of a Knockout! Hurd Vs. Armenta!

Have to share these two great photos from Friday night's main event between Jarrett Hurd and George Armenta.  This should effectively show how powerful's Hurd's second-round knockout was.

First, photographer Wallace Barron was able to pick up the straight right hand that did the damage.

On the other side of the ring, Juan Marshall caught the result.

Great photo work by both men!

  1. Officially the next rising star from the DMV that everyone should be talking about, also between this ko and the one at the convention center where he knocked out Coulabaly out for about 8 minutes should definitely be the knockout of the year. I have not seen one top that one yet! Hurd is a very impressive fighter with a lot of humility! I see him going far with skills and power like the one he displayed.

  3. Richard what the commissioner needs to do is not let u George and a few of the other boxers fight anymore for u are a disgrace to boxing.

  8. McCombs vs Armenta loser retires make it happen. BTW no way McCombs beats Armenta

  9. No offense, but no commission in the country would ever allow that. Richard is retired, hopefully, and will continue to give his boxing analysis from a spectator seat. Maybe Digital can use Richard for commentary, you never know. But Richard should NOT be boxing, period.

  10. Richard has been knocked out five times in a row -- and all in the first round. Those are the FACTS. Richard is great for local boxing, but NOT as a fighter. If he gets hurt, heaven forbid, shame on the people who allowed the bout to happen.

  11. Richard Mccombs aka "canvasback"
My man spends more time laying on his back than standing in the ring.

  12. Danny Kelly's KO of Schuler Marshall on the under card of the Peterson Holt fighr 2/22/13 has to be considered az well

  13. Yes but Danny's KO was not as impressive as as Hurd's knockouts, not even close.

  14. Why does armenta continue to take these bouts against fighters who are clearly stronger? How many more times does he need to hit the canvas, along withe mccombs, for the commissioner to do something before they get hurt?

  15. Please do not compare George Armenta and Richard McCombs. Richard is a nice guy, but his pro boxing record consists of winning his first bout and then getting stopped five times -- all in the first round.

  16. Let me say this and I am done here...I will not be stopped again further more I feel Jarret is a very good fighter on his way to greatness. I want you to not only look at who I fought but research them and tell me if any up and coming fighter with talent undefeated would have took the chances I did and be where they are today be honest. I mean taking nothing away from nobody I sparred some of these guys and took it to them and all I am saying is don't be so quick to right me off because I ain't done yet trust me.

  18. Richard Mccombs you gotta under stand. The ring is not a bed, you're not suppose to go there just to lay down.

  19. Richard has a point outside of being kncked out 5times lol he has been in with very good fighters. I would pay to see George vs Mccombs but not if keystone dry ass putting it on.

  20. He was robbed, you must have not been there. He was out on his knees trying to get up. Ref did him a favor by stopping the fight. Great job looking out for the fighter.

  21. But.....Richard only beat one person and that person ain't never beat ANYONE PERIOD. But, I do have a great idea.....Richard Mccombs should fight every other fighter that hasn't ever won a fight ever and they can all fight for one championship belt! The B.U.M. Championship belt of the WORLD!!!!!!!!

  22. Richard don't take it to heart. You seem to be an alright guy. We are just makin' jokes to get a laugh. If you want to fight go for it. You should be the one to care about your health and if you don't who are we to say anything else.

  26. That sounds good Richard. Give it another shot. Just be smart about it and fight someone with a closer record t yours. Don't pick an undefeated fighter your first fight back man.

  28. Richard, nice guy but should not be fighting any more.

  29. "That sounds good Richard. Give it another shot."

No, Richard, this DOES NOT sound good and please DO NOT give it another shot. Have you considered helping Gary with his live broadcasts from the fights?
