The ninth was the most competitive round of the bout and Reis might have gotten the dupe in that contest as she picked up the pace. Reis used her right hand lead very effectively much like Nel.son did earlier on. Nelson landed some shots but didn't do enough.
Reis won the round, 10-9 but Nelson still leads the bout on the BATB scorecard, 87-84
