Beltway Boxers Brandon Quarles, "The King's Son" Jerry Odom and Danny "Smooth" Kelly return to action on a GH3/Greg Cohen Promotions card on Friday, September 13 at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, NJ.
Quarles, a middleweight from Alexandria, VA, will be in the eight-round main-event against undefeated John "Apollo Kidd" Thompson of Newark. Quarles (10-1-1, three KO's) is coming off a second-round stoppage of Jimmy LeBlanc on August 10 in DC. Thompson (12-0, four KO's) won an eight-round unanimous decision over Geovanny Rodriguez on May 10 in Miami, OK. Thompson scored three knockdowns en route to the win, which was broadcast live on Showtime's ShoBox series.
DC light heavyweight Odom (4-0, four KO's, one NC) will be in a four-round contest against Antonio Liles of Wilson, NC (1-3, one KO). Odom has yet to get out of the first round in any of his contests. Liles won his pro debut in June of this year but has since lost his last three. However, he has already fought and gone the distance in six-round contests.
DC heavyweight Kelly (4-0, four KO's) will also be in a four-round bout against veteran Jamal Woods of Forrest City, AK (3-8, three KO's). Kelly scored a third-round TKO over Rayshawn Myers on June 15 in DC. Woods is coming off a six-round unanimous decision loss to undefeated Darlington Agha on June 20 in Houston, TX.
Burke, VA middleweight Antoine "Action" Douglas was slated to be on this card but is now off the show. Douglas is slated to be on GH3's next card on Friday, October 25 at the Charles Houston Recreation Center in Alexandria, VA. Kelly and Odom are also slated to be on the October 25th card.

odom fighting a 1-3 guy. omg what a killer attitude.
Where is danny training i heard he left the headbangers if so, that was foolish
Danny is now training with Kay in VA. It's not stupid at all.
Danny is not at any gym gud kid with lots of talent
Danny is still at Headbangers. Also don't talk about a killer. Last few fights in Dc haven't had any killer opponents on it. They had good fighters on there with a killer mentality but the opponents where soft. Also is it me our the last few shows in Dc, guys with undefeated records have been losing to the weak hand. So don't let number of fights fool you. Just sit back and wait. Damn you guys just bashed Seth,Gaines,Fox,Dusty. What is good for the Dmv
