Lanham, MD welterweight Yurii Polischuk has lost a four-round unanimous decision to Arturo Trujillo tonight at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, PA.
According to Jason Pribila of SecondsOut.com, Trujillo dropped Polischuk in the second round and put Polischuk on the defensive for the rest of the fight. Polischuk lost by scores of 40-35 across the board.
This is the first pro loss for Polischuk, whose record evens at 1-1, one KO. Trujillo is now 2-0, one KO.

I thought he was from Lanham? He fought in Dc a lot as a amateur.
I believe he trains in Alexandria but is living in Lanham. That's what I was told originally.

Because I wasn't there at the card. As I said before, Juan Marshall was blogging live on his site, ProAm Fight Talk. I have now, based on his posting, listed the results.
I believe Polischuk is at Raw Assassin Gym.
Clueless management
Wasn't expecting Polischuk to lose this early in his career. Also wasn't expecting Jerry Forrest to lose this early either. Hope they both continue to train and work their way back.
That is why trainers and managers have to bring these young fighters along slowly to establish confidence and experience. It takes time to build up a fighter and when you rush or think that you are better than what it really is, this is the result that you get. Good fighters with early losses. Many people think they know the business of boxing but really don't. Only know how to down talk others.
Yori and forest are fighters and want to fight real fights.

Yori's camp must not keep up with amateur boxing. Arturo has been fighting a while and fought the likes of Alan Russell and Alantez Fox. He hung in there with both. Some of these coaches aren't doing their homework, or don't know their fighters. I would of expected Yori to lose that one
Yeah, I googled/youtubed Arturo and he looked solid from what I saw of his previous fights. Yuri was matched tough but so was Arturo. Don't forget that Yuri cleaned up the 140lbd division as an amateur and his only loss I can recall was to Mike Reed.
If he lost to Mike Reed that means he didn't clean up the 140 lbs division.. Because Mike didn't clean it up himself but he represented well... Yuri should've stayed amateur a little longer... Yuri fought most of his bouts novice anyway & he didn't win all his bouts at novice.. When he did turn open he didn't make any noise or never made it out of town to any national tournaments.. He wasn't ready then & he's definitely not ready for the pros, he has good potential that just needed to be groomed, what was the rush?
I would like to know why they took that fight. You go to fight a guy in his home town and he was an national champ
thats what he gets for not fighting in the open division in the golden gloves, I wish I was there to see him get paid back! Hes not an american anyway. Shit on him.
I heard that yuri got ko'd in the gym before this fight and his confidence was gone
