Beltway amateurs have begun competition at the Junior Olympic National Championships in Mobile, AL on a good note with victories in the first sessions of competition.
Keeshawn Williams of DC won his first-round contest in the 110-Pound division by a 3-0 margin over DeChaun Blount of Baton Rouge, LA while Baltimore, MD's Mack Allison won a 2-1 decision over Kennan Glaude of Lafayette, LA at 119 Pounds.
In the evening session today, Sergio Bolonos of Silver Spring, MD notched the third win for the locals by a tiebreaker over Alejandro Jimenez of Smyrna, TN in the 114-Pound division.
