Windsor Mill, MD middleweight "Relentless" Julius Kennedy gets a rematch against Harry Joe Yorgey of Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, June 15 at the Valley Forge Casino and Resort in Valley Forge, PA.
On March 15 at the Valley Forge Convention Center, Yorgey won a six-round split decision over Kennedy that was controversial to say the least. Kennedy won on one judge's scorecard 58-56. Another judge saw the bout 58-56 to Yorgey. However, the third judge saw the bout 60-54 for Yorgey. That judge, reportedly, will not judge another bout in Pennsylvania according to sources. The rematch is scheduled for 10 rounds.
Yorgey (26-2-1, 12 KO's) has not fought since the first contest between the two. Kennedy (7-5-1, three KO's) lost by fifth-round stoppage to DeCarlo Perez on April 19 in Chester, PA. Kennedy was not knocked down during the contest. Kennedy will be trying to break a six-bout winless streak (0-4-1, one NC)
