Four Locals in Semis of National Golden Gloves!

The DC region has four boxers remaining who are eligible for National Golden Gloves titles in Salt Lake City, UT

Gary Antonio Russell, Lamont Roach, Jr. and Kareem Martin all advanced to the semifinals in their respective divisions.  Russell won a decision over Israel Mercado of California at 123 pounds.  Roach won a decision over Hector Rendon of Nevada in the 132-pound bracket.  Martin won a decision over Larry Gomez from the Rocky Mountain Region.

The fourth representative is Darnell Price II from Camp Lejeune, NC who advanced in the 201 Pound bracket with a decision win over Bryan Daniels of the New England region.

Also, Marquis Moore, a native of Fort Washington, MD who is in the Army, is fighting out of Fort Carson, CO and is in the semifinals of the 165 Pound division.
