We now have details on the two victories notched by Beltway Boxers this past Friday at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK.
Burke, VA middleweight Antoine "Action" Douglas scored a first-round knockout over Coy Witt of Richlands, VA. The bout was stopped at 1:36. Douglas is now 7-0, five KO's. Witt is 2-4, one KO.
Baltimore, MD junior middleweight Cecil McCalla also remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Abel Perry of Colorado Springs, CO. McCalla raises his record to 16-0, six KO's while Perry falls to 18-7, nine KO's.
Surprisingly, there was a slight local feel to the co-feature on the card. Newark, NJ middleweight "The Apollo Kidd" John Thompson won the eight round bout by unanimous decision. BATB has learned that Thompson is the younger brother of Baltimore cruiserweight Cory "Black Ice" Cummings.
