Undefeated DC welterweight Dusty Harrison will headline a nationally televised card at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Sports Complex on Saturday, May 18.
The card, called "Champion Class" will have bouts televised on the EPIX Network, marking the first US-based boxing broadcast for the network. The fact that the card is being held at UDC marks a special significance because Harrison, who will turn 19 three days after this card, will begin studies at the university in June. No word yet on the opponent for Harrison (14-0, eight KO's) who won a six-round unanimous decision over Jonathan Garcia on April 12 in Dover, DE.
One bout has already been signed for the card and is slated to be one of the featured TV bouts. The bout marks the return of Upper Marlboro, MD heavyweight "Big" Phill Brown as he takes on undefeated Natu "The Truth" Visinia of Lakewood, CA. This will be the first bout for Brown (6-1, three KO's) since May 31, 2007 when he lost a six-round majority decision to Mike Sheppard in Glen Burnie, MD. Visinia (8-0, seven KO's) makes his return after an almost two-year absence. Visinia scored a fourth-round TKO over Kourtney Boden on May 31, 2011 in Santa Monica, CA.
A number of Beltway Boxers are slated to compete on the card including Kevin "K-Smoov" Rivers, Jr., Mike "Yes, Indeed" Reed, Gervonta "Rambo" Davis, Devar "The Warrior" Ferhadi, Greg Newby and the debuting Yurii Polischuk.
The card is being promoted by All-In Entertainment, a company founded by Washington, DC attorney and entrepreneur Jeff Fried along with legendary poker player Phil Ivey and Monta Ellis of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks.
The card is slated to begin at 6 PM ET with the telecast starts at 8 PM. Details on the card are slated to be announced next week.

Building 47?
I think so. Used to be known as the Van Ness Center.
Why would Jeff Fried put a show on the same day Lamont Peterson is fighting in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I wanted support both fighters. However, I understand the business of boxing. Good Luck to both Lamont and all the DMV fighters who are fighting May 18, 2013 whether it be in AC or DC.
I think they may have been at the mercy of the schedule EPIX had available. Also, the fact that Peterson's bout is a non-title contest now makes it a little less appealing.
From what I am told, Harrison received a huge paycheck today from Jordan. So large, that he may very well lose focus on his May 18th. bout.
Harrison stated that his goal is to be the undisputed welterweight champion. I don't think a "huge paycheck" would cause him to lose focus. Too much riding on it.
Dusty has too many people involved with him. Rappers, Promoters, Basketball Players, etc. I wonder how many people are in the kid's pocket???
Dusty and Yuri are good kids and great boxers, hope they make it and avoid the pitfalls that most boxers end up having. I had the chance to spar both.
Great news! I will be in teh building to support the young man! Please let us know when tickets are available Digital!!
I believe tickets are on sale now through www.dustyharrison.com
Why isn't Alexander "The Great" Johnson on any of these cards? Any answers Gary?
I heard in this case, he was supposed to be on the card originally. His opponent wouldn't sign the contract.
Johnson's people may have been offered some other opponents and they may have fallen through also.
He may also be too expensive for some of these cards locally.
Thanks Gary
Im excited to see everyone including Pat Coye he is one to watch out for.
I heard that Discoball Jones has been booted by the DC Commish to be the announcer on this card and they gave it Gary Williams from BATB. About time they gave my road dog Willie his just props as a legendary ring announcer!
Taninquin Johnson

I appreciate the thought but that isn't true. I haven't been contacted about being the ring announcer for this card.
Henry Discombobulating Jones is one of the best ring announcer in the world and he's definitely the best in the DMV. He always give recognition to our past and current world champions and contenders. Remember he is still the voice of boxing. He's a true professional and should be supported to do any major and local ring announcing for all fights that come through the DMV. He's our World Champion Ring Announcer. May God Bless Everyone
