Beltway Boxers Promoting Future Cards!

The Beltway has three boxers who are currently working dual roles as boxers and promoters.  Two of those boxers have cards coming up in the very near future.

Stevensville, MD middleweight Tony "Mo Better" Jeter has his card on Saturday, May 11 at Club One Fitness in Millersville, MD.  Jeter will headline the show defending his WBC Fecarbox Middleweight championship against Victor Hugo Correa.  This will be Jeter's fourth self-promoted pro card.  Jeter has put together numerous amateur shows.

DC junior welterweight Ty Barnett returns to action on his first self-promoted card on Saturday, June 15 at the Washington Convention Center.

Jeter and Barnett talked to BATB about their upcoming cards and why they are promoting their own shows.

The third local boxer to actively promote currently is Venroy July who promoted his first show in March and will be putting together another card in the future.

One thing I should say, these men are doing just about everything for their shows -- promoting, matchmaking and trying to get the word out on their shows.

Jeter will be a guest on NewsChannel 8 Sports Talk on Tuesday at 9 PM ET.
