Another Update on April 20th Show Place Card!

Medical issues have forced some last minute changes to the Keystone Boxing card on Saturday, April 20 at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD.

The main event has to be changed because Alantez Fox's opponent, Djolevi Ballogou, has unnamed medical problems and can't appear on the card.  The same holds true for Mario Murphy's opponent, Devon Mosley.  Murphy's new adversary is Damion Reed from Danville, VA (2-10-1, one KO).  BATB has just learned that Fox is now officially off the card.

One of the definite changes is that Jarrett Hurd's bout against Greg Hackett has been upgraded to a scheduled six-round contest -- Hurd's first in his young pro career.  This bout will now be the main event on the card.

Two more bouts have been added to the card.  Arlington, VA welterweight Yurii Polischuk will make his pro debut on this card as he will take on Alexandria, VA's Demetrius Winbush, who is also debuting.  Polischuk is still slated to be on the May 18 card in Washington, DC.

Capitol Heights, MD heavyweight Deverine Miner will also take his first step into the pro ranks as he battles the debuting Glenn Thomas of Chicago, IL.

Pat Panella is fucking up boxing in Maryland. There is no need for doctors , referees, trainers, or judges when he does it all himself. That's why I don't fight in Maryland anymore. He practically wanted to manage my career. If he likes you he will approve opponents, if he doesn't he will deny them. Marylanders won't see any fighter grow unless you do it at his pace. He ran Dusty away, now I guess he will run Fox off too. Promoters will struggle to make money with Pat around.

I heard Pat denied around three guys! Killed the main event. A promoters worse nightmare.

The last event the main event opponent was 5-25. Pat can't be all that bad. Fox probably got scared ! Everybody else got bums!

Here are the facts. You can not build everyone up.some body has to
fight.the public deserves to see good fights.Pat is what is right in this sport. with out him doing what is right the paying fans would never see a fair fight.boxing is full of bull shit now.

Pat Pannella did everything he possibly could too get this fight done.. Ballogou being turned away was a decision made by another commission, Sharpe was turned down because of medical concerns, Ankrah would have been approved if he hadn't just been in a dogfight 14 days ago. Commission rule plain as day has a 14 day rule. At the 18th hour he approved a fighter with a 6-1 record, however we couldn't get him medicalled and license in time.

Pat made arrangement for this young man to get his federal I'd renewed in Nevada. He was willing to let this fighter weigh in at another time.

As disappointed as I am that Fox isn't fighting the commission as well as promoters and Fox's people did everything humanly possible to get ths done.
