As I said in the post, I have not received information on the undercard. The article I referenced only dealt with the main event since it was a Salisbury paper.

According to Issa Coulibaly, he did get a win and spoiled the debut of AJ Williams but, while I believe him, I don't have any other info on that bout.

It was a small crowd. AJ had a nice size crowd for support. Damont had just as many people there to see him than Alex. Alex did not draw 1/3 of the fans that his brother had. Lonnie Kornegay lost a great fight to Duane Mobley. Hugh Hinds lost to Nuwan Jayakody Damont Giddins did not fight because Cyprian Khumalo backed out after the first fight for having a head ache and his knees was hurting.

I took the fight last minute on Tuesday and thought I will be able to fight, unfortunately I was too weak to fight from dehydration. I was feeling dizzy during warm up. Tried to make it a sparring match but the Doctor said it was too risky after consulting with Panella. I felt sorry for Dammont. But I did my best taking the fight on a 3 day notice. Next time. Hopefully Panella won't suspend me, considering I tried to save the card.

Word has it that Khumalo informed the Commission in the dressing room shortly before his scheduled fight that he was ill, feeling dizzy among other symptoms, could not fight and did not want to fight. Once a boxer goes to the Commission on his own, claims to be sick and says that he does not want to fight, there is no turning back. It is too late at that point. Word also has it that Khumalo's trainer understood the situation the Commission was in and agreed with the Commission's decision.

Hugh Hinds vs. Niwan Jayakody, AJ Williams vs. Issa Couibaly, and Frank Filippone vs. Marcus Clay were all pretty decent back-and forth battles. They were the best three fights of the night. Alex Guerrero gave a game effort against a guy whose style made it difficult for anyone to mix it up consistently. Dwayne Mobley handled Lonnie Kornegay, but Lonnie didn't back down and hung tough.

I heard that Filipones old manager
finially came out of the closet.
Said he was tired of not being able to wear his six inch pumps out in public.
Good for you Mr Watts and doesn't it feel better to come clean and get all that weight off of your shoulders.
Signed
someone who cares

how could you have went and took all the test every test then back down. thats a discrace to boxing. you should not be able to box EVER

I am not a fighter I am a boxer. Second no one plans to be sick. Third anyone is free to box if they don't like how other boxers behave. Lastly i box because i like it. Lastly my personal worth is not tied to boxing or proving machoism, i only box for artistic fulfillment. Lastly there are many places one can go box from, like in other countries, i am not sure if anyone is going to stop me boxing. Boxing is a lethal sport, you can just take chances with our brain cells, unless if you don't even use them in the first place.

If you are sick you are sick... but you can't be HALF sick. And you can't say, well, I am too sick to compete in a bout BUT I am feeling good enough to spar four rounds. Four rounds with the guy who is really upset because he sold a lot of tickets, and now cannot compete in a real bout so he promises that he will go light on you when sparring. Would you go light on somebody if you were him and in the situation you placed him in with all his fans out there? C'mon. Either you fight or you don't. Fine, you said you were sick, but quit making excuses about everything else.

Since you seem to to know more about me better than myself i think you should come and start thinking for me. I can't believe people who think they know better than what happens in someone's mind than the owner of the thoughts. Wouldn't it be nice to let people make their own decisions instead of thinking that you are such a genius that you know what every person thinks and should think.

And what excuse are u talking about. Second don't you think you should mind your own business and worry about your life instead of worrying about mine. I will and shall always do whats in my best interest irrespective of your opinion. Your opinion is irrelevant for it will never be part of my thought and action process.
Since you are such a genius and know it all I think you need to use your wisdom to make this world a better place and solve all these earthly problems. Stop wasting your godly power on trivial issues like boxing, especially when your thoughts are pretty irrelevant to my life.

Hope you worry and concentrate on your life. And stop thinking what my opponent would have done had we sparred, thats why there are referees and also it was their suggestion which Doctor denied. You seem to be someone who was part of this event , better start using your name, I am curious who you are. Whats your name smart guy?

Since you are accusing me of excuses hopefully if i do what you want you might leave mre alone, here it is. I did not fight because i was scared, was stupid going there and leaving my business for a minor check. I am a quitter
Are you happy now, anything you want me to say to make you happy???

Do you even know that on Wednesday i told Jack that i couldn't make the fight and they begged me to attend, of which i had to cancel an important appointment i had on friday night. I sacrificed a lot to go to this fight and here you are accusing me of nonsense. You don't even know what happened but you are making idiotic assumptions. I even offered to pay the purse of my opponent if he was going to lose money by us not fighting and their trainer refused.
For your own information I did not tell the commissioner, I mentioned to a trainer that was re wrapping my gloves what he think i should do as i was feeling light headed my trainer Randolph was at the ring with Nuwan, I was asking him bout fighting strategy, he then called an official standing next to us and asked me to repeat what i had said. Thats how the doctor got called and i explained to him what i was feeling. What did you want me to do, go fight when my knees were buckling every time i was hitting pads during warm up. You are something, very crazy and strange. I am sorry for any boxers that are in your life if you are involved with boxing.

If you people care about boxing and boxers you should be asking why its possible to match a guy 3 days before a fight, it take at least 2 months for a boxer to prepare for a fight but you ignore all this and blame me. Solve the real problem and symptoms.
This is promotional incompetence and ill treatment of boxers. Had everything been done right i would have never been offered this fight.
You people should be debating why a boxer is matched 3 days before a fight not why a boxer is withdrawing due to illness, in a sane world you would be sympathizing with me, but alas.

It seems you all sympathize with money, tickets sold etc than human life. its sad and thats one aspect of boxing I can not stand. Very sad.
