Update: Peterson Result Not Official!

Ring Magazine has now altered its original story concerning IBF Junior Welterweight champ Lamont Peterson.

The report now only says that the IBF has received documentation fron the DC Boxing and Wrestling Commission but there is no word as of yet whether either boxer -- Peterson or Kendall Holt -- has tested positive for anything.

We'll keep you posted.

  1. Lem always wants to beat everyone else to the punch, maybe he will learn to get his facts straight first. Even if the story plays out to be true, this is crap journalism.

  2. @amjallday already confirmed that King Pete tested negative.

  4. SECOND UPDATE: Apparently it was Kendall Holt, not Lamont Peterson, who tested positive for HCG. Per Gabriel Montoya of Leave it in the Ring Radio’s Twitter feed:

“I am told by that Kendall Holt, NOT Lamont Peterson, tested positive as erroneously reported by @RINGMagazine’s Lem Satterfield.”

  5. Lamont wit a real promotional company now.... Golden Boy & Top Rank stable of fighters juice, so I don't blame Lamont..... He has that privilege now, but I do know him & Barry need too get a better chemist, because they can't seem to beat the DC Boxing Commission testing.... Only this time Golden Boy got it brushed under the rug, because of the investment in the Lucas fight in Atlantic City... Tony Thompson said it better, they need to just let fighters juice, because a lot of them have great chemist on their team & never get caught..... So Headbangers find a good chemist, before they start catching y'all amateurs to be cheats!!!!
