Frederick, MD middleweight Devar "The Warrior" Ferhadi told BATB after his bout at the Frederick Fight Club that he wanted to stay busy. That is one goal Ferhadi seems to be accomplishing.
Just after his knockout win in Frederick, MD on March 23, Ferhadi (2-0, two KO's) is reportedly slated to face fellow undefeated Beltway Boxer Antoine "Action" Douglas (4-0, three KO's) in a four-round contest on Friday, March 29 at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. This will be on the undercard of an ESPN2-televised card. We will find out if this bout happens when the weights are posted.
By the way, Ferhadi's scheduled bout against the debuting Demond Nicholson that was slated for April 20th at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD will not take place.
Ferhadi is not fighting Douglas nor Nicholson. His next fight will be May 4th at the Frederick Fight Club. The promoter is Venroy July's Hard Work Promotions. The full card will be released soon.
ReplyDeleteBoth Ferhardi and Nicholson verbally agreed then decided it wasn't the best time for either to fight each other. I regret announcing it was happening. However there is talks of both Ferhardi and Nicholson fighting on Keystone's April 20th show.
