Hurd Wins Four-Round Unanimous Decision!

Accokeek, MD junior middleweight "Swift" Jarrett Hurd has won a four-round unanimous decision over Thomas Baldwin of Jersey City, NJ.  The bout was a good hard-hitting affair and we credit both men for keeping focused in the ring despite an altercation between two females in the crowd.

Hurd won the contest by scores of 40-36 (twice) and 39-37 to raise his record to 5-0, three KO's while Baldwin loses for the first time as a pro and he is now 2-1-2, one KO.

Heading to the ring -- Jerry Odom vs. Craig Boykin of Columbia, SC.

jarrett hurd is a good boxer and its good to see him finally getting some props. 2 time dc gloves champ, national gg quarter finalist. he has to stay in the gym cause he has talent. i thought his amateur breakout year was 09 but he lost in the dc gg semis. good fighter.

He has a lot of talent that is sometimes diminished by his conditioning. I like the step up against another undefeated fighter, now he needs to step up his commitment to better conditioning and he will be another young future local champion making a path to greatness for himself. Keep up the good work and work harder.

jarrett hurd can flat out fight. i always felt he was one fight away. wade turned pro and 165 was wide open in 09. in 07 wade left the jo's and 165 was wide open. hurd was snuffing people out but in both tournaments he lost to notorious, the southpaw. both good fist flying bouts. you never know if hurd wins one or both bouts what good could have come from it.
