Three Maryland amateurs won bouts on a pro-am card in York, PA Friday night. Two of the winners came out of the Main Street Gym in Salisbury. Shawn Woolford won a 3-0 decision over Ramses Brown of the Combat Gym in Bell Mawr, NJ at the Novice 152 pound division. Also, Ryan Watson captured a 2-1 decision in the 165 Open class over Babar Shah of the Lincoln Way Gym in York.
In another 165 Open bout, Baltimore Boxing's Jerome Featherstone notched a RSC-3 over Bakula Simpson of the Harrisburg Boxing Club in Harrisburg, PA. According to reporter JR Jowett who sent BATB the results, the bout was relatively even until Featherstone trapped Simpson against the ropes and landed a brutal left-right combination that sent Simpson crashing to the canvas.
