There have been a number of documentary films this year that have featured Beltway Boxers as the subjects. One of those films will be screened at the Alexandria Film Festival on Sunday, November 18. The film features Ashburn, VA boxer and two-time world middleweight champion Tori "Sho 'Nuff" Nelson.
The film -- Tori Nelson: Fighting For Her Future -- chronicles Nelson's life as she juggles her boxing career with three full-time jobs and being a single mother. The screening will take place at 4:30 PM in the Knox Screening Room at the US Patent and Trademark Office located at 600 Dulany Street in Alexandria, VA. This is near the King Street Metro Station and there will be free parking in the East Garage. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. You can go to the following websites to purchase tickets:
Nelson along with the filmmaker, Jeff Riegel, are slated to attend and will have a brief question and answer session after the screening.
