Recap from Cockeysville!

Once again, here are the results from the Jonathan Ogden Foundation card at Martin's Valley Mansion in Cockeysville, MD:

Baltimore welterweight James "Keep 'Em Sleepin'" Stevenson remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over veteran Damon Antoine of Akron, OH.  Stevenson landed hard shots to the stomach and head but the durable Antoine managed to survive all four rounds.  Stevenson earned a shutout (40-36) on all three cards and his record rises to 18-0, 11 KO's while Antoine falls to 10-43-2, five KO's.

The co-feature saw Baltimore-based flyweight Tyrieshia "Baby Girl" Douglas capture a four-round unanimous decision over Ottawa, Canada's Sherine "Rosie" Thomas.  Douglas used quick hands and crunching body shots to wear down her opponent throughout the contest.  Douglas also won by shutout to raise her record to 2-0, one KO.  Thomas was listed as 2-1, one KO.

After a three-year absence, Baltimore lightweight Ramondo Elliott scored the only knockout of the night with a blistering first-round KO of Shane Reynolds of Cincinnati, OH.  Elliott dropped Reynolds with a straight right hand then sent him down for good with a right-left combination.  The bout was stopped at 1:43 of the first.  Elliott is now 2-1, one KO while Reynolds is 1-1, one KO.

Lancaster, PA lightweight Rolando "Ironman" Chinea battled Ian James of Brooklyn, NY to a four-round majority draw.  James had an advantage early but couldn't fully capitalize. Chinea finished the bout much stronger in the fourth round.  Judge David Greer had it for Chinea, 38-37 but judges John Gradowski and Don Risher, saw that bout a draw.  Chinea is now 3-0-1, two KO's while James is now 2-5, one KO.

Lynchburg, VA female bantamweight Kelan Robey won a four-round split decision over Philadelphia, PA's Unique Harris.  Both ladies fought very hard but Robey managed to eek out the win.  Judges Gradowski and Greer saw the bout 39-37 for Robey and Risher saw the bout 39-37 for Harris.  Robey wins her pro debut and Harris drops to 0-2.

The opening bout was a battle of Baltimore that was won by undefeated super middleweight Dan Cannaday who defeated Lee Snow.  Both guys were awkward but Cannady was the better boxer overall, winning the bout by scores of 40-36 (twice) and 39-37.  Cannaday is 3-0, one KO while Snow is 2-3, one KO.

The card was promoted by United Boxers.  Chris Middendorf served as matchmaker.

Here is the post-fight wrap-up that includes an interview with Tyrieshia Douglas.
