The fact that undefeated DC welterweight Dusty Harrison will be fighting in his 10th pro bout at just 18 years old is receiving some national attention. Ryan Maquinana, who covers boxing in Northern California, recently did an interview for BoxingScene.com with Harrison which includes an interesting note about Harrison's possible next opponent in December should he get by Nalo Leal tonight at the Washington Convention Center.

hope the kid dont blow all his money like the rest of them. he might have plenty right now, but it wont last long if he gets stupid. he dont need a rolls royce or a mercedes or a big house with a pool. he needs to change his phone number and stay away from all of his family members.

Teddy is only here to steal one of our local fighters. I have seen this happen many times before. I suggest that you do what I am doing. I will not complain or bitch about the fights. I will just stay home like I plan on doing and read all about it later this evening. According to all reports, they don't need our money anyway. They are selling this show out for sure. However, after Teddy Atlas steals the kid-it"s over.
i disagree, he has said in a dozen inerviews that he is never leaving DC. said the money is great and his friends, family is all here. teddy boy will just have to come here if he wants in.
To tell you the truth, I had not heard this and I have just been told that it is NOT true. The word is that is a myth.
Somebody trying to stir up some interest with lies and deceit.

The ESPN story is also a myth. There is no truth that Harrison has an ESPN date is February sewn up at this time.
