Rahman Weighs 256 For Bout in Germany!

Hasim Rahman weighed in at 256 pounds for his WBA heavyweight title bout with champion Alexander Povetkin in Hamburg, Germany.  Povetkin came in at 229 pounds.  The bout will be shown live on the EPIX Network at 4:30 PM ET on Saturday from the Alsterdorf Sporthalle in Hamburg.

The referee for the contest will be Gustavo Padilla of Panama.  The judges will be Jose Roberto Torres (Puerto Rico), Alfredo Polanco (Mexico) and John Coyle (U.K.).

Rahman needed to come in at around 240 to have the best chance to win. Looks to me like he is there for a paycheck.

too heavy. he can bang though and povetkin ain't exactly tyson or marciano. i don't think Rahman will win but I think he has a chance within 3 rounds for a KO.

after rd 3 or 4 Rahman will not have any stamina. I hope he can do it, but I have my trepidations.
