Armenta Stopped in Third Round in New York City!

Silver Spring, MD light heavyweight George "El Gallo" Armenta has been stopped in the third round by undefeated Seanie Monaghan of Long Beach, NY tonight at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

Monaghan was dominant throughout the contest, dropping Armenta with an overhand right hand at the end of the second round.  In the third, Monaghan continued his work capping his performance with a crushing straight right hand that put Armenta down for the final time.  Armenta could not beat referee Earl Brown's count and the bout was stopped at 2:25 of the third.

Armenta suffered his third straight loss and sixth in his last seven fights.  Armenta's record is now 14-10, 11 KO's.  Monaghan is now 15-0, 10 KO's.

esenneed to take a few local fights,get a few wins,get in fighting shape not just working out,,but training.hate to see you aas an opponent or hurt.stop taking these type of bouts for a while

Yea George take it from Rich he knows. The last time I seen him he was facedown, so you hold your head up champ you will be back.

The result is not surprising. WTF was he thinking? And to schedule another fight the very next month? He'll still be licking his wounds from this one if he's not already on medical suspension.

George,2-5 under current mgr and trainer,get a complete physical to include MRI/CAT scan.be sure you are healthy,find a new mgr and trainer and start from scratch,you still have some good fights in you if done properly SO,be the Rooster and ot just a COCK
