At the Washington Golden Gloves in Palmer Park, MD, I had a chance to talk to both Gary Russell Sr. AND Jr. Both assured me that Jr. will be fighting Dat Nguyen on Saturday, April 21 in El Paso, TX. The bout will be shown on Showtime.
Speaking of tonight's action at the Golden Gloves, we'll have complete results in a couple of hours but there has been some hard hitting action -- Already five RSC's tonight.

I heard Lamont Peterson was there at the Golden Gloves? Was there any other pros in the house? Do you have any pictures?
I have no pictures, but Dusty Harrison, Gary Russell, Jr., Gary's brothern Gary "Fast Hands" Jones, and Tony Jeter were there along with Darryll Tyson who is also a trainer.
Silk.....there were many fighters there...Gary Russell Jr. was there enjoying himself.
