Corley Bout In St. Maarten Cancelled Because of Carnival; Harrison Bout Changed in Mississippi!

ProAm Fight Talk is reporting that DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley's bout slated for April 7 in St. Maarten has been cancelled because the island nation wants to focus on the upcoming Carnival Celebration, so the promoter cancelled the event.

There is another card slated for St. Maarten on June 30 (scheduled to include another Beltway Boxer, Venroy July), but Corley told PAFT's Juan Marshall that the only way he will go back there is if they doubled the money and paid him up front.

Another bout slated for April 7 has been altered.  "The Beltway Boricua" Dusty Harrison will face a new opponent in his four-rounder in Southaven, MS.  Reggie Nash is out and Anthony Bowman of Jackson, TN is in.  Bowman (9-39-2, two KO's) is looking to break a 12-bout losing streak.  Bowman hasn't fought since being knocked out by Hastings Bwalya in November of 2010.

reggie nash is a tough but good fight for Dusty. Nash knowcked Byan Jargal flat on his back but went out as soon as jargal touched him.....not due to Jargals power simply due to glass chin of Nash. Dusty in 2 rounds.

I do not think you are reading the post correctly. It looks like Nash has pulled out and Bowman has now stepped in.

Good for chop-chop to put in those demands if they want him back. All that hard work and training for no avail and countless offers he may have turned down because of fight.

This isn't a head scratcher. Carnival is being used as the reason..Hmmm
