Top Rank sent over this match-up for approval. I have approved it just now.

I've been saying this all along..... there is NO way Top Rank Boxing, the biggest Promoter in the game, would announce a fight between Kelly Pavlik and Scott Sigmon in Pavlik's hometown paper without at least a verbal agreement from Pavlik.

Now we have confirmation of a contract signed by Sigmon AND that the bout was submitted to the Nevada State Athletic Commission for approval.

Again, there is NO way that Top Rank Boxing goes through all of these steps without Kelly Pavlik agreeing to the fight.

It's pretty obvious that Kelly Pavlik thought about it and refused to sign a contract with Cujo because he KNOWS that it's going to be a tough fight for him. Sure, he's the odds on favorite by far but he KNOWS Cujo is coming to fight a real fight, he won't lay down for some chump change, and he may even whip Kelly Pavlik's ass!

I'm glad Cujo is putting him on blast like this. He's got the truth on his side. What is there to fear!

Don't know why you people are making such a big deal about this.
The fight isn't going to happen so move on to the next one.I have never seen such attention given to something like this in 36 years of being involved in the sport. It's obvious Cujo has the ability to make fights happen if he wants to,
he's worked hard and gotten himself a very respectable record and more opportunities will come his way.If this is such a big dissapointment to so many people then I'm affraid you are in for alot more in the future. This busniess is full of people who don't mind deceiving or just plain out lie to you to get what they want from you at that minute. This may be one of those cases so maybe you shouldn't take it so hard because there are probobly more to follow.Pavlik could care less about what we say on this blog so unless you just want to hear yourself talk move on to another subject and concentrate on something positive for Sigmons career.

Signed
I know you hate me buts thats OK

Still doesn't make it right. You're right usually when you think it's rain in this business and just somebody pissing on your head. That doesn't mean you have to take it.

I agree, whats done is done,Pavlik didnt sign, his choice. This isn't unusual for boxing, like the guy said, move on people! BTW, I think beating up on Pavlik is rediculous as well as the comments made about him. There will be many more fights, best of luck to both of them.

I used to think Cujo was old school, but, after all this, sadly he's not. He's just an insecure pussy. Even though he's not technically gifted, I thought we had something here - we don't, though. Shame.

I heard that Sigmon had some kind of blood disease and that Pavlik
didn't want to catch anything when he pounded him from the _ear.
Missing one letter can you guess what it is?

Again, you have to give credit where credit is due. Sigmon was willing and eager to step up, regardless of what you think of his ability. I personally think he has improved. Pavlik did not want to take a chance, plain and simple. "Club" fighter or not, Pavlik thought enough of Cujo NOT to fight him. And it wasn't Cujo who said no to the fight.

Word is that Cujo has failed steroids test.

Yes, that's true.

Did he fail an IQ test also?

Scott "fifi" sigmon's comments about pavlik not wanting to fight him becuase he has an AA meeting that night just shows what an immature jerk he is. Even the YMCA where he used to work let him go because he was rude and swore. Dont know how his wife can stand him
