Recap From Cockeysville!

Here is the recap from the Jonathan Ogden Foundation "An Evening Ringside" at Martin's Valley Mansion in Cockeysville (or Hunt Valley), MD:

"The Berlin Bomber" Joshua Snyder
of Berlin, MD won a tough eight-round split decision over Baltimore's Maxell "The General" Taylor. Great close fight, both in the ring and on the scorecards. The bout was fought mostly phone-booth style until Snyder was able to put Taylor on his bicycle in the seventh round. Judges Don Risher and Dave Greer saw the bout 77-75 for Snyder while Gary Camponeschi gave Taylor the nod, 77-75.

Snyder is now 9-6-1, three KO's while Taylor falls to 17-4-1, eight KO's.

Forestville, MD junior middleweight Alantez "Tez" Fox remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over Corey Preston of Cincinnati, OH. Fox won on all three scorecards, 40-36 to raise his record to 6-0, three KO's. Preston is 1-6.

The walkout bout saw junior welter Richard Andrews of Staunton, VA win a four-round unanimous decision over Baltimore's Mischa "The Assassin" Christensen. Andrews, who just fought and won this past Saturday in Winchester, VA, was dominant with his body shots that at times made Christensen do a boxer's version of "Riverdance" with his legs.

Andrews remains undefeated at 2-0-2, one KO. Christensen falls to 3-2, one KO.

In a women's bout, Leesburg, VA heavyweight Monique Lacy lost her pro debut to Kasondra Hardnett of Akron, OH via four-round unanimous decision. Hardnett's reach and height were too much for the shorter Lacy. Hardnett captured her first pro victory. She is now 1-3.

Also, Rolando "Iron Man" Chinea of Lancaster, PA won his pro debut with a first-round TKO of Chanele Buckhanon of Dayton, OH. The bout was stopped by referee Kenny Chevalier at 2:58 of the first. Buckhanon is now 0-2.

United Boxers promoted the show. The matchmaker was Chris Middendorf.

Here is the recap and I apologize for my hoarseness. I am battling a cold at this point.

Josh is a beast, why is he the only fighter that step up and fight good fighter. Everyone else keep fighting bums. Good job Josh maybe you can get your record up if you fought bums.

The promoters dont F with the Down Under fighters or fighters from the shore. I noticed they are always brought to lose cause they dont sell tickets.
