Beltway Boxing fans were treated to some exceptional performances last night during the Women In Support Together (W.I.S.T) "Road To London" all-female boxing card at the Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center in Palmer Park, MD.
Multi-time national champion Franchon Crews of Baltimore won her bout at 165-pounds defeating Chatiqua Hemingway of Pittsburgh, PA. Crews has been a 10-time national champion over her career.
Another local open boxer -- Tiara Brown of DC -- defeated Jessica Owens of Norfolk, VA in a 135-pound bout.
In an upset, world number-one ranked 132-pounder Andrecia Wasson of Pittsburgh lost to Carolina Barry of Michigan.

110 pounds Novice: Deanna Lowery, Millersville, MD RSC-1 over Maisie Morales, Trenton, NJ.
15/16, 152 pounds Junior: Kiera Bell, Washington, DC over Gilkaswaldrina White, Temple Hills, MD
14/15, 119 pounds Junior: Keyona Glover, Dover, DE RSC-1 over Maritza Triquerios, Trenton, NJ.
12, 85 pounds Junior: Liza Llanos, New York City over Yesinia Reyes, Temple Hills, MD.
One of the better "bouts" was actually a training session between Talanee Tillery of DC and Cleveland, OH's Cashmere Jackson. There was another training bout between Brittany Evans of Palmer Park and Basimah Baker of Fairfield, NJ.
