Recap Of Hard Times Promotions Card in DC!

Here's a recap of the card at the DC Star in DC.

The main event saw DC heavyweight Maurice "Freight Train" Byarm remain undefeated with a fifth-round TKO over "Mr. P" Willie Palms of Jersey City, NJ. The bout was stopped after a knockdown when Palms decided he did not want to fight anymore. Byarm is now 11-0, eight KO's while Palms's record evens at 10-10-1, five KO's.

In the co-feature, Laurel, MD heavy "The Big Ticket" Dwayne McRae scored a fifth-round technical knockout over James Porter of Terre Haute, IN. The bout was stopped at 1:59 of the fifth.

DC super middleweight Gary "Fast Hands" Jones made his return to boxing after an almost seven-year absence a successful one, winning a four-round unanimous decision over Torrence King of Columbus, OH. Jones is now 21-2, eight KO's while King is 1-8.

Thomas "KO" Snow of DC won by explosive third-round knockout over James Franks of Newport News, VA. Snow sent Franks face first to the canvas with a great left-right combination. Referee Dr. Joe Cooper stopped the contest immediately at 1:31. Snow is 14-1, nine KO's while Franks is now 2-7-1, two KO's.

Zain "Tiger" Shah of Arlington, VA remained undefeated with a second round TKO over Tevin Parker of Raleigh, NC. The bout was stopped at 1:57 of the second. Shah is 5-0, three KO's while Parker is 0-2.

Baltimore's "Slick" Nick Kisner and DC's Andre Ward fought to a four-round draw. Kisner is now 7-0-1, five KO's) while Ward was making his pro debut.

Alexandria, VA's Brandon Quarles needed just 31 seconds to stop David Tomlin of Wilson, NC. Quarles is now 4-0, two KO's while Tomlin is 0-2.

Also, Newport News, VA junior middleweight Jeremiah "The Bounty Hunter" Wiggins used a crushing body shot to stop Alan Moore of Indianapolis, IN at 2:45 of the first round.

Hard Times Promotions, led by Gabriele Adams, put on the promotion. The matchmaker was "The Boxing Diva" Renee Aiken.
