Sorry to be a little behind on the Beltway contingent at the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in Indianapolis, IN. Here who has competed thus far:
On Monday, Gary Antonio Russell advanced in the 123-pound division with a decision over Brad Heroff of the Upper Midwest team.
In the 141-pound class, Michael Reed won a decision over Duran Caferro of the Rocky Mountain squad.
At 165 pounds, Antoine Douglas won a decision over Ethan Curry of the Tri-State region.
Zakki Scott lost his bout in the 201-pound division by decision to Charles Saunders of Iowa.
Tuesday's action saw Kevin Rivers, Jr. advance with a decision over Travis Thomas of Iowa in the 132-pound division.
Defending national 152-pound champion David Grayton moved into the next round with a decision over Levi Patterson of Cleveland.
Jerry Odom won his 178-pound bout against Colt Caselman of Kansas City.
Jerrell Reeves won his opening bout in the 201+-pound division over Joseph White of Florida.
Competition continues through Saturday, April 30.

You've said it before Gary: the Beltway region is a hotbed for boxers. We have a lot to look forward to with the young talent in the area.
