Salinas Battles Nava in Mexico for WBC Interim Title; Reid Added to Nov. 6 Fairfax Card!

Couple of changes to the ICE Promotions card on Saturday, November 6 at the George Mason University Patriot Center.

"The Bolivian Queen" Jennifer Salinas is off the card because she has a major opportunity on that same day. Salinas (11-2, four KO's) will battle "La Princesa Azteca (The Aztec Princess) Jackie Nava (22-3-2, 11 KO's) for the interim WBC Female Super Bantamweight title on November 6 in Yucatan, Mexico.

Nashville, TN's Jonathan Reid will return to the Patriot Center ring and face off against an opponent to be named later. Reid, a Contender teammate and former opponent of headliner Jimmy Lange (34-13, 19 KO's) will be trying to break an eight-bout losing streak.

Lange is slated to be a guest of The Mike Wise Show with Holden Kushner on Thursday afternoon, November 4 at 1 PM on 106,7 FM The Fan followed by an appearance on the John Thompson Show with Doc Walker on Sportstalk 980 between 2 and 4 PM. Former three-time world champion William Joppy, who will face Cory Cummings in the co-feature, will be Glenn Harris's guest on Sportstalk on TBD-TV (formerly News Channel 8) on Thursday at 8 PM.

It's seems like DC is well represented, what about Baltimore? It just seems like the promoter has already picked who they wanted to win for this fight (like they do every fight). Don't sleep the underdogs on this fight because I see a big upset coming up!

There won't be an upset in the Lange Fight cause they paid the opponet off very well. This I know.

Ried gets a fight on the card cause he did what he was supposed to do when he fought Lange.

That maybe the case for the Lange fight! I just hope the Joppy-Cummings fight is not setup because Joppy wants to get his 40th win which I don't know why he wants to try against Cory Cummings?

Wow so Lange pays people to drop?? That will just hurt him in the long run. He's trying to be a Bute. LOL But he don't have the money to keep his record looking good. And when he goes against good skilled fighters he will pay the price!

ATTN: "No Nutsac" Williams.

My buddy just told me Joppy was slurring on that sports show last night and looked a mess. How about you reporting that and that he should not fight even if it is set up. No, you will say go Joppy get your brains knocked in so the promoters can keep lining the pockets of my poly slacks.

"No Nutsac" Must GO!

Hey punk bitch with the no nutsac comments. Just because Gary is paid by promoters to not really report the truth doesn't mean he has no nutsac. Oh the opposite, he has big balls in his sac because he is making a mint by doing the promoters dirty work.

So take your not nutsac and get out of here because Digi is packing big balls!

Gary, I think you should do away with the anonymous comments. I know you said traffic might go down but I believe it would only be temporary. Please consider this because all the crazy, disrespectful comments are hurting the site. I imagine that advertisers wouldn't want their names associated with some of these comments. Please consider making all who leave comments apply for access and provide identification information.

Joppy wasn't slurring any more than Lange Slurrs his words but nobody brings that up.Is it because he is white and Joppy is a black man?

These two people shouldn't even be talked about in the same conversation.William has great accomplishments while Lange only has his fathers accomplishments as a promoter and Hustler of others.Every time Lange steps up
he gets knocked back down.
The real fights are in Maryland tomorrow night.

Good idea, William! I'm getting tired of these stupid comments anyway. Let's see if they have the guts to put their name behind their foolishness.

I agree, Gary. The blog should not be a vehicle to spew hate. Please moderate the haters out. In the end, the blog and the local boxing community will have a better reputation.
