BATB is hearing that the Shobox bout featuring undefeated Salisbury, MD middleweight Fernando Guerrero has been postponed and will take place in the new location.
The bout was scheduled to take place on June 25 near Albuquerque, NM but Showtime has moved the bout to the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, MS and the bout will now take place on Friday, July 16.
There is talk that the opponent will also change for this bout, but there is no official word on that.

This bout has been through a lot of changes.
If I was FG's manager I'd be "very concerned" and asking for some additional monetary consideration.
Yeah right, talk about biting the hand that feeds you. How many times has Fernando been on TV? A ton, right? TV is where the money is, you're not going to piss off those TV execs.
His manager would NOT be doing his job if he didn't at least ask for some consideration for his charge and the support staff.
If all these changes result in FG losing... so goes your TV money, exposure and future negotiating posture.
It's called prize fighting for a reason. Remember it's NOT personal it's business.

I've heard from folks in the Guerrero camp that Smith is one of the boxers being considered, but nothing is definite yet.

Boxrec is saying that Fernando is fighting Ishe Smith
As of right now, I can assure you that Boxrec is wrong. I've personally talked to the Guerrero camp. They have not made a decision. This showed up on ESPN. Com and even that story said it could be not would be. Another boxing site ran with this and jumped the gun. Nothing is set yet.
Floyd is one of the best ref's we have, and I personally think he's one of the best amatuer judges in the country
