Fightnews.com is reporting that WBO Interim Junior Welterweight champion Lamont Peterson will get his opportunity to win the WBO title outright when he faces WBO champion Timothy Bradley on Saturday, December 5.
Earlier today, Gary Shaw Productions won a purse bid to promote the title bout and it will most likely be held at the Agua Caliente Casino and Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA. The bout will be shown live on Showtime. Gary Shaw Productions paid $575,000, outbidding Top Rank, who bid $451,000.

I can tell you this aint nothing fake about sparring at any level,its something every fighter need & take very seriously. I believe lamont can beat most of these guys @ 140-154 so show the man respect for all he's done & everything he's about to achieve he representing our nation proudly and well:)
Lamont has indeed fought alot of fights but never fought the likes of Timothy Bradley.
It is my as I'm sure others in the area's hope that Lamont is successful . I know that his camp

I'm pulling for this kid. He was homeless. He and his brother carry themselves well and aren't all thugged out. His corner talks a little too much. I remember the amateurs "headbangers in da house!" That's a little too ra ra cheerleader stuff for me but the young man (and his brother) seem to be on point. I think Peterson will win the fight.

Okay, let's bring some real boxing talk to these post. Great fight for Lamont Peterson. Peterson has a great chin and is a natural pin point counter puncher. Bradley will come forward right into Lamont's web and will be blistered with double and triple left hooks to the body. Bradley is a very busy fighter and may well win 3 or 4 of the early rounds by his busy style but Peterson's relentless body blows will slow Bradley's work rate down and give Peterson latter round dominance. I would not be surprised if Peterson stopped Bradley between 9-11 by increasing his work load and going upstairs more where Bradley's chin has been known to be a little suspect. Bradley should commended for taking chances to get a title in other countries but make no mistake about it, he has been just as protected as Lamont Peterson and really doesn't have much more experience than Lamont overall. Lamont, Rock Allen, Devon Alexander owned the weight class in the amateurs. Bradley wasn't even heard of nationally and was nowhere near the level of Peterson, Allen and Alexander. In the pro game Bradley has had the benefit of being on "Shaw Time", thus getting more exposure and a title shot faster. Bradley's experience over Lamont comes in big fights. Either way I am predicting Peterson by 10th round TKO with Bradley's corner stopping the fight as the warrior in Bradley would not quit.
Thats amateurs this is pro. True you need amateur experience but you cant say this guy owned the amateurs and also expect it in pro. Dont work that way. Good luck to the brother. He have a good chance in the fight.
