Three undefeated Beltway prospects will be big parts of a "Boxing Future Champions" card on Saturday, August 29 at Fitzgerald's Casino in Tunica, MS.
The main event will be an eight-round super middleweight bout between Salisbury, MD's Fernando Guerrero and Chris "On Target" Archer of Tarentum, PA. Guerrero (14-0, 12 KO's) is coming off a blistering second-round TKO over Brian Norman on June 19 in Guerrero's hometown of Salisbury. Archer (11-7, seven KO's) recently broke a three-bout losing streak with a second-round TKO over Jason Carter on June 24 in Pittsburgh, PA.
The co-feature marks the return of DC junior welterweight Ty Barnett, who will participate in an eight-round contest against veteran Dairo Esalas. Barnett (16-0-1, 11 KO's) will be boxing for the first time since his six-round majority decision win over Johnnie Edwards on November 1 in Las Vegas. Esalas, a native of Colombia (31-16, 25 KO's), has lost six straight, including a second-round knockout loss to Mike Jones on March 6 in Philadelphia, PA. Esalas's last win came in November of 2007 when he captured an eight-round split decision over DeMarcus Corley.
Also on the card will be Largo, MD middleweight Dominic Wade (3-0, three KO's) who will try to keep his perfect record intact against veteran Tyrone Dowdy of Memphis, TN (4-19, three KO's).
The card will be shown live on internet pay-per-view on www.prizefighttv.com for $4.99.
